Installing a Printer Driver

Before you can use your printer, you need to install the printer driver so that the computer and printer can communicate with each other. Once the printer is connected, it should be detected by the computer automatically. You can check this by opening the Control Panel in Windows or System Preferences in Mac OS X. If the printer is detected, you should see it listed as an available printer.

If the printer is not detected automatically, you may need to add it manually. In Windows, this is done in the Control Panel. In Mac OS X, select System Preferences and then Printers & Scanners. If you can't locate the printer driver, you may need to reinstall it.

At this point, the printer should be set up and ready to use. You can launch any application that supports printing and select the printer to start printing.
